During prayer your eyesight should be towards the place of sujood.

Proper Bowing Position
When bowing place your hands on your knees with your fingers facing downwards.

Correct Prostration
In prostration, make sure that your forehead, nose, hands and toes are touching the ground. Your hands should be aligning your ears.

About platformPurification in Islam
Allah SWT says in the Quran:
إن الله يحب التوابين ويحب المتطهرين
"For Allah loves those who turn to him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean"
Allah SWT wants Muslims to always remain clean; especially while praying. Therefore a Muslim should make sure that his body, clothes and the space he/she will pray in is free from any impurities.
Impurities in Islam include:
- Urine
- Stool
- Vomit

The Importance of Intention
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
إنما الأعمال بالنيات، وإنما لكل امرئ ما نوى
"Actions are to be judged only by intentions and a man will have only what he intended"
In Islam the intention behind an action is more important than the action itself. Two people could perform the same action but have very different intentions.
For example, when giving to the needy, one person could give because he wants to be seen as generous. The second person gives because he wants to become closer to Allah SWT. Allah, in this example, will not accept the deed performed by the first person. However, Allah will accept the second person's deed despite both deeds looking the same to an onlooker.
Likewise, Allah SWT will not accept a prayer that is done because a person wants to look pious in front of other people. However, Allah will accept a prayer that is done to please Him and Him only.
It is also important before prayer to have a clear intention of the type of prayer you will pray and the number of rakaas you intend to perform. For example, if you want to pray Asr, you have to have a clear intention in your heart to pray Asr fardh, 4 rakaas. If for any reason you changed your intention between the prayer, your prayer will no longer be valid.
