Step-by-Step Guide

1. Intention (Niyyah)

Make the intention in your heart to perform the Dhuhr prayer.

2. Takbir (Allahu Akbar)

Say "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest) without raising your hands, as per Ibadi practice.

3. Hand Placement

Keep your hands straight down at your sides, following Ibadi tradition. Unlike other Islamic schools, Ibadi Muslims do not fold their hands during prayer.

4. Recite Surah Al-Fatiha

Recite "Bismillah" aloud followed by Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening) in every rakaat.

5. Recite Another Surah

Recite another surah or verses from the Quran in the first two rakaat.

6. Ruku (Bowing)

Bow down saying "Allahu Akbar" and recite "Subhana Rabbiyal Adheem" three times.

Continuing the Prayer

7. Standing After Ruku

Rise from ruku saying "Sami Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa lakal hamd".

8. Sujood (Prostration)

Prostrate saying "Allahu Akbar" and recite "Subhana Rabbiyal A'la" three times.

9. Sitting Between Prostrations

Sit between the two prostrations saying "Allahu Akbar".

10. Tashahhud

In the final rakaat, recite Tashahhud while sitting.

11. Tasleem (Salam)

Conclude the prayer by turning your head to the right and then to the left, saying "Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah" each time.
